Music video shoot day
In preparation of our music video shoot the day before we set up the curtain scene. This involved using a red theatre curtain, old microphone, plain carpet, stage walls. On the day of the shoot our group was not stressed as we had everything prepared. Before shooting we had to do the costumes and prepare the girls make-up. We also had to chose the lighting which was a spotlight. I feel our concept of the glamorous lifestyle was created very well on the set and in the costumes.
In the shoot a did the playbacks of the songs, photographed some scenes and helped with the costumes and make-up. Anastasia did the directing, filming and helped with the make-up, Habeeb did some of the filming, directing and photographed a lot of the scenes. I think that the costumes and make-up that I helped with were particularly good as they fit in with the ambience of a 'Glamorous Lifestyle'. On the day of the shoot before we started filming we thought that we might run out of time at the end of the day for shooting all our scenes. But luckily we had plenty of time during the day.
I think that the sofa scene was most successful because of all the lighting we had put in created a really good effect on camera and the costumes went really well with all the bar lights. In this scene the backdrop sheet had small lights in it. In our music video we used props such as sweets which worked really well with the costumes and lighting and especially well in the photo shoot scene.
I think that the talent (twins-lip synching/acting) worked really well with the concept, the song and the stage directions. In the shoot I enjoyed most was preparing the make-up and see how each scene would look when it was being set up. In the editing the video shoot I am most looking forward to going through each scene and putting them in different shots to match the beat of the song. I feel that our production group worked really well as a team because we each had different jobs on the day and we helped each other with all of them.
From this shoot I have learnt to be more organised in time management which will help me in my next shoot. We also learnt to be overly prepared is best; as we had brought in a lot of props so we had a very good range of choices.

'Boring' Screen Test
This week we did a screen test of the girls. This is to see how they would look on camera. We had the girls practice their lip-syncing and dancing. We also featured Faris in this screen test. We only did a few shots. Overall I think it went well as it did not take too long and I think we are ready for the music video on monday.
Music video preparation
On Friday we went to the studio prepare for the music video on Monday and met with the set designer. This is to make sure all our set would be ready. We also checked the costumes for the girls were acceptable. Here is the photo of a sofa we are using for a performance scenes.
