Website

A website for an artist is very important as it helps build an online presence with their fans and helps them to feel connected to the artist. The website updates audiences of information about the artists tour dates, where the artist will perform and their products such as t-shirts, key chains etc this all helps to promote the artist.

We created our website looking at different conventions of artists websites. This includes additional information about the artist, their music video. This creates a connection between the artist and their website.

Class feedback of music video

We showed our music video to our media class. These are the comments made:

• 'It represents the fact that money doesn't make you happy: consumerism'. 
• 'Controversy will sell this- sapphic imagery, keep in mind that the school made us take this down.'
• 'Subverting dominant stereotypes about music videos and women.'

Audience feedback

We sent out an email to the people in our class and also the media teachers. This is to get audience feedback to see what our music video could improve on. We decided to email people as it would be more effective because we are now in an online age.

During this week we designed our website for the Coco Twins. We included things such as a Home page (with tour dates), About us page, Photo Gallery page and merchandise page. It is important that singers/artists have their own website this is because they can publicize their albums and songs, it can also be used for getting their fans involved in their online profile.
